David Roberts

An artist all his life, David Roberts began his work in photography twenty-some years ago while living in the mountains of southern Oregon. He enthusiastically pursues his love of people photography in the streets, parks, and other colorful locations up and down the state of California, and in his travels in the US and abroad.
Inspired by the ideas of New Humanism, David has, for many years organized a wide variety of community oriented volunteer projects and activities which bring together photographers and artists while promoting change and improvement within society. He spends a good deal of his time teaching his course, "The Art and Adventure of People Photography," to groups of individuals at large, and through educational and cultural institutions. David currently resides in Los Angeles where he recently co-founded the HumanEssence Photo Group.
