| Eyes melt together
like the afternoon rain,
gentler skies have sheltered them
from fear
the longing midnight conflicts,
the over contemplated pain.
He looks into her
as if she’s closer than breath deceives,
golden hair tossed down on his chest...
he breathes.
Dim and darkening mist
speaks among the glass
her heart,
breaking
even in his deep embrace,
might love be enough to prove?
Surpass?
She can't forget those words,
with lips of warmth and chance
he spoke,
when distance drapes in cobwebs
when truth beside its corner cries
mourning will surely offer its cloak.
Sun has yet to tear
this tangible fantasy,
he's not ready
to stop cradling her,
silence steeps in the last metallic drop,
it's a calm and faded sea .
