Rafael Edwards, photographer of the Daily Picture, has placed in this space an impressive series of photographs of the most "sacred" places of the Southern hemisphere.

These are the most elevated places on this side of the planet. The surroundings of Mount Aconcagua in the Andes mountain chain is undoubtedly a special place, extremely beautiful and for the natives, a lost legend of a far away time in which the future awakening of a warmly human civilization still waits for its completion.

What is most significant perhaps, is what each person can experience in the unexplainable silence that exist in these heights. A silence that gets us closer to our own intimacy and also to the intimacy of others. In these historical moments of confusion, Punta de Vacas is a place for meditation, reflection and celebration, open to everyone.

The pilgrimage to the Aconcagua can be made from Argentina or Chile. The photos are a magnificent witness of these two paths.

I hope you enjoy this beautiful production and I hope you download them and use them as wallpapers in your computers. It is a great way to remember our origins which still have a very special place in the future of this earth.
