At the end of February it will have been 36 years since I entered the Siloist Movement.

This milestone marked my life from that moment on; my participation in the movement has led me to live in different countries and has been the foundation of my formation as a person and also as an artist.

This May the Historic Park of Punta de Vacas will be inagurated at the place the movement was born publicly. Now, instead of a few hundred people, some ten thousand friends from around the world will be making the pilgrimage to this sacred place for three days of spiritual inspiration – to seek contact with the sacred, with the profound within us, and affirm our commitment to the construction of a human, just and nonviolent world.**

I want to share in images some of the moments I’ve experienced on the road to Punta de Vacas, at that place and others that for many of us are sacred, places we call "parks." In these parks we meet periodically to celebrate, to ask for wellbeing for others and for the world we live in, and to give thanks for the privilege of being able to live this experience.

I want to give thanks from the bottom of my heart to all the friends with whom I’ve shared this path for 36 years, and especially to Silo, who, besides being a good friend, I recognize as my spiritual guide. I give thanks for his wisdom, his teaching, his support and inspiration, and I believe that thousands of us can say the same.

Finally, these galleries are also “wallpapers,” that is, images that you can install on your computer. You can download them, send them to friends, or do whatever you want to with them.

Last of all, I want to express my gratitude for the support I’ve received from Fernando Aranguiz, webmaster of La Bisagra, who has made the installation of these galleries possible, and for the collaboration of Laura Feldguer and Andrés Koryzma for their beautiful images of Mt. Aconcagua and Manantiales.

Warm regards,
Rafael

** I hope that these images will serve as inspiration for more than a few people to become enthused and come and spend these days with us. You will of course be very welcome. For more information about these three days in May, you can go to: http://www.parquepuntadevacas.org.
